From the Ashes

So, the more astute followers of my website (all three of you) may have noticed I haven’t made an original short film since “Note” last May.  The projects I have posted were either gigs that I got or taking a hike with my dog, etc.

There was a very good reason;  My camera got stolen in June while I was visiting San Diego.

I never wanted to make a big deal out of it.  I figured that, in some twisted way and despite how cliche the phrase is, it happened for a reason.  So, I tried my best to move on and stay productive.

And then I got an e-mail a few weeks ago from a detective down in San Diego …

Without further ado, I present my first short film in almost a year:

We only had a couple hours to shoot and some very inconsiderate planes kept flying over, but we made our day.

Until next time.

If You Build It

Hello everyone out there in Internet land.  Things are going well.

Tonight is the first test screening of A Field Full of Secrets.

With that being said, I’ve got a short film or two cooking up and the final draft of my feature script is shaping up nicely.

Stay tuned.

Prospero Año

Happy 2013, everybody.  I’ve hit the ground running this year.

In December, I edited a sizzle reel / trailer for a documentary about Charlie Two Shoes.

If all goes well, I’ll be the one editing the documentary itself, as they are currently seeking finishing funds.

With that in the can, I started editing a film tentatively called “A Field Full of Secrets.” Without going into too much detail, let’s just say I’m excited to see the reaction to this one.

That should be wrapped up by March, at which point I’m hoping to have financing lined up for my narrative feature.

Stay tuned, kiddies.

Irons in the Fire

Hello, all you beautiful internet people.  Should internet be capitalized?  Ah, forget it.

I’m busy as always.  Just wrapped up an actresses’ reel and I have a first cut of a new short from Matty Sims and Nigel Walsh, which they wrote and I shot:

That should be online when all’s said and done.

Outside of that, I’m currently looking at two feature documentary editing gigs.  One of which I’m currently editing a trailer for, and the other is supposed to start post production later this month.

And, I’m wrapping up my feature script in order to start shooting in early 2013.

Stay tuned.

That Shit Cray

Once in a blue moon, a music video comes along that redefines the medium.

A music video that sets a new standard for all others that shall follow in its wake.

A music video that makes the viewers stop and say to themselves, “Well, that was a music video.”

This is one of them.

Tremble at its ferocity.

For mobile playback, try the Funny or Die version.

Remember Remember

And that’s all the V For Vendetta you’ll get out of me.

Got a few things in the works; stay tuned.

Take a Hike

If there’s one thing I love, it’s detaching for a couple of hours and going for a nice hike.

Combine that with something else that I love, and you get this:
